What is included?
Policy review, update and maintenance
We review your existing Policies, Controls and Procedures and update, replace or create documentation where required. All PCPs are maintained throughout the subscription period to reflect regulatory change, best practice developments and changes within your firm.
This includes documentation aligned to SRA Standards and Regulations, AML and CTF requirements, sanctions compliance, GDPR and data protection, and broader risk management obligations.
Annual firm-wide risk assessment (Regulation 18)
For AML-regulated firms, we conduct and document your annual Regulation 18 firm-wide risk assessment. Where firms undertake out-of-scope work only, a sanctions risk assessment is completed.
This ensures risks are formally identified, assessed and documented to support decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Annual compliance audit
The service includes an annual audit comprising file reviews and staff interviews to assess the implementation of your PCPs.
Audits can be delivered on-site or remotely. Additional audit days are available for multi-office firms or where higher volumes require extended review.
A written annual report is provided, summarising findings, actions and overall compliance position for senior management review.
Staff Training
Structured training presentations are delivered covering:
-
SRA compliance and regulatory responsibilities
-
AML, sanctions and risk management
-
Your firm’s Policies, Controls and Procedures
-
UK GDPR and data protection obligations
Training can be provided on-site or via live video sessions. Additional sessions can be arranged where required.
Registers, forms and compliance tools
The service includes practical tools to support consistent implementation, including notification forms, registers and structured checklists.
Registers typically cover areas such as complaints, conflicts, data breaches, SARs, undertakings, gifts and hospitality, training records and COLP/COFA monitoring.
Ongoing advisory support
Subscribers have access to a dedicated helpline for regulatory and compliance queries as they arise, together with regular briefings and newsletters outlining relevant legislative and regulatory developments.

Looking for Complete, Outsourced Support?
Discover our Risk & Compliance Management Service.
For firms that require more than a structured framework and annual audit, our Risk & Compliance Management service provides complete day-to-day management of your compliance infrastructure.
This service builds on SRA Compliance Essentials and goes further. RACO becomes an operational extension of your firm, taking responsibility for the administrative management of compliance registers, notifications and reporting, while continuing to provide technical guidance and regulatory oversight.
Many firms begin with SRA Compliance Essentials to establish a robust framework, and then combine our Risk & Compliance Management service when they require ongoing administration, reporting and case-level support.
If you are seeking a fully outsourced compliance solution, we recommend discussing both services with our team.
